Possess By Gretchen McNeil Book Review

Fifteen-year-old Bridget Liu just wants to be left alone: by her mom, by the cute son of a local police sergeant, and by the eerie voices she can suddenly and inexplicably hear. Unfortunately for Bridget, it turns out the voices are demons – and Bridget has the rare ability to banish them back to whatever hell they came from.
Terrified to tell people about her new power, Bridget confides in a local priest who enlists her help in increasingly dangerous cases of demonic possession. But just as she is starting to come to terms with her new power, Bridget receives a startling message from one of the demons. Now Bridget must unlock the secret to the demons' plan before someone close to her winds up dead – or worse, the human vessel of a demon king.

~Haunted Rose's Review~
I'll start off by saying yes this book is from another giveaway. :) I feel pretty greedy because I have a stack at least 3 feet high of giveaway books I haven't read yet but I promise I will read and review every last one. Anyway, my favorite part in this book is when I learned what Vade Retro Satana meant. I had the book signed before I read it so as the author wrote that as the message I was thinking uhh, I don't speak that language. Then in the book you find out it is the exorcist motto meaning Step Back Satan. This story was diffidently something fresh and ahead of the current trend. Bridget, a girl who has no idea she is a Watcher, the good type of nephiliam to the horny fallen angels, learns about trust, faith, and pixie dust. Scratch that demon lust is more like it. So back to Bridget. She has an enemy which happens to be her new boyfriend's ex. She has a stalker who is in love with her. She has a gay friend who calls her boyfriend sexy. She has a close little brother and a not so close mother. Last but not least she has a dead father. He was killed by the Emim to raise Amaymon king of the east hell of demons. He was also a watcher and in the end Bridget learns to embrace her destiny, and use her full power to hopefully banish Amaymon. Reading Possess will possess you as you read it. Ha see what I did there? If you enjoy demons and angels I recommend Possess!
I give it 4 out of 5 haunted roses
